Ashok Man Singh from Tansen, Palpa is a self-taught artist. He has published three books – ‘Pataachaari’ (novel), ‘Nepalko Bhougolik Ayamic Drishyachitra’, and ‘Rang’ (a book about colors). Besides being a highly-skilled designer and a painter, he is also a writer.
Some noteworthy honors he has received are Bhussan Patrakaaritaa Puraskaar, Noorganga Puraskaar, Sagarmatha Sahitya Pratisthan Sammaan Puraskaar, Rastriya Pratibhaa Puraskaar, Chabilal Palpa Pratibhaa Puraskaar and Narayan Bahadur Singh Smriti Puraskaar.
His extensive experience reflects in designing, printing, publishing, and photography. He has a solo exhibition and various group art shows to his credit.
He is the Founder Member of the Cartoonists’ Club of Nepal (C-CoN) and Member of Artists’ Society of Nepal, Paschimaanchal Bikas Manch, and Pen International Nepal. He is also affiliated with Reading and Write Publication House Pvt. Ltd.
Ashok Man Singh is a visiting faculty at the Center for Art and Design, Kathmandu University, and Sirjana College of Fine Arts. He is part of the founding team and Advisory for Curves n’ Colors.
